According to Social Media Today, YouTube has 1.5 billion users engaging with Shorts every month, so this was a smart move to help brands build awareness and reach by leveraging their existing long-form video. The app makes people "authentic" by uploading front-facing and back-facing photos within a two-minute time limit.
