With the possibility of losing a job hanging over many people’s heads, the thought of purchasing a new home today may be put on the backburner. Understandably so.
Rather than denying that people are nervous, Megatel Builders, a home builder out of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, has created a program that addresses their customers’ fears head-on.
Here’s how their job loss protection program works. Should a new customer lose their job, Megatel will cover 100% of six months of mortgage payments. The program covers houses in existing inventory or that have already been purchased.
Not only have they realized a 50% increase in sales since implementing the program, but they’ve also seen a dramatic decrease in cancellations of existing contracts as a result.
And if that isn’t amazing enough, Megatel has also come up with an incredible incentive for front-line workers. Any doctor, nurse, or first responder who purchases a home through the end of May will get their first six months of mortgage payments paid by Megatel. All we can say is wow! No one deserves recognition more and it warms our hearts to see a builder like Megatel step up and recognize these heroes.
