These past weeks we have seen a significant shift in the way builders market, contract and sell to home buyers. It is so exciting to see our industry take the challenge head on and adapt so quickly. For Lennar, this new normal was a chance for the builder to showcase the strides they had already made to go digital and quickly add additional tools to make sure their home buyers didn’t miss a beat.
Their approach was recently featured in Forbes magazine where CEO Rick Beckwitt was quoted as saying, “So, it’s essentially taking that digital approach we already had and amplifying it with additional technology we already have at our fingertips.”
In addition to providing a host of visual resources to bring their homes to life online, Lennar has digital mortgage platform to help buyers start the mortgage process completely online with a smartphone app. Leveraging online programs like Skype and DocuSign Lennar moves buyers through the sales funnel in this era of social distancing. One of their strategies is to use a “virtual new home orientation” to allow home buyers to tour and review their new home on FaceTime from the comfort of their couch.
We love seeing companies like Lennar that are building on a solid digital foundation to expand and create an even better customer experience for these unprecedented times.
