Today is International Women’s Day! We want to give a shout out to the women of BDX and the building industry that are breaking down barriers and changing the landscape.
Historically, the building industry has been predominantly male-dominated. But that is the past. Today women are making significant contributions across the industry in almost any role - architect, engineer, owner and executive, marketing, and even as a construction manager. Women are bringing diverse perspectives and skills to the industry and helping to shape the future of building design and construction.
Members of the NAHB Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) credits company earnings at 22% higher than those of non-members, attributing their success to the support from peer members and the dedication to promoting industry professionalism and development.
Here at BDX, 63% of our employees are women and the benefits are obvious to us. Research has shown that gender-diverse teams are more innovative, productive, and effective at problem-solving and we couldn’t agree more. By encouraging and supporting women we can create a more inclusive and successful industry that benefits everyone.
Every one of our departments and product lines - from renderings, listings and Envision to customer service, finance and marketing - all have been shaped and benefited by the incredible contributions from the women of BDX.
By promoting gender equality and diversity, we can create a stronger, more innovative, and more inclusive building industry for all.
