El PatioTop rated Austin Restaurants

Located in the West Campus district in downtown Austin, El Patio is a family-owned restaurant that has been creating home-made Tex-Mex food since the 1950’s. Their specialty? Chicken enchiladas. If you’re looking for a place with great customer service and a homey feel, check them out.

Franklin’s BBQ

While Texas is known for its barbeque, Austin is known for Franklin’s. Located in East Austin, this iconic establishment serves up a melt-in-your-mouth (literally, the meat falls apart!) brisket that blows away all other BBQ joints this side of I-35. Thinking about heading there for lunch? Be prepared to stand in line for a few hours – maybe bring a book or two.

Home Slice Pizza

New York came to Austin and brought us savory pizza. That’s Home Slice in a nutshell. With two locations – South Congress and North Loop – there’s no excuse not to try them out. Our favorite pick? White Pie with Spinach.
